Archaeometry.gr is a web-based platform dedicated to the presentation of archaeometric (archaeological science) information, relating to Hellenic archaeological issues. The site has been created and maintaned by THETIS, a company offering products and services based on the application of scientific methods and techniques to cultural heritage (more about THETIS).

Since its creation in May 1997, archaeometry.gr has been progressively enriched hosting the activities of the Hellenic Society of Archaeometry, the Conservation Laboratory of the Benaki Museum and other non-profit societies active in matters of cultural heritage.

In the course of a bilateral Greek-Cypriot collaboration programme funded by the GSRT (2001-2002) we have started presenting the results of individual research projects, lists of Research Laboratories in Greece and Cyprus offering services related to Archaeometry as well as the PhDs in Archaeometry submitted to Greek University Departments.

Archaeometry.gr has been enthusiastically received by archaeologists, students and the research groups involved, especially by the younger scientists. Contributions, additions and recommendations are always welcome.
