ACTIVITIES

Activities for Symposium participants and their escorts (included in the participation fees):

  •  Cocktail party at the gardens of the American Archaeological School offered by the School and Wiener lab.
  •  June 1: Guided tour - walk in the historical center of Athens and the unified archaeological sites (Syntagma - Temple of Zeus Olympius - around Acropolis - Roman Agora - Ancient Agora - Keramikos Cemetery). Guided tours in museums and sites are not included.

Activities for escorts (included in the participation fee)*:

  •  May 29: Guided tour in the Byzantine Museum of Athens and the Benaki Museum.
  •  May 30: Guided tour in the archaeological site and the Museum of Acropolis.
  •  May 31: Guided tour in the permanent collections of the National Gallery and the Museum of Cycladic Art.

* Symposium Participants may also attend these guided tours at an extra cost.

The minimum number of participants for the guided tours is 15 persons.

Optional activities for Symposium participants and their escorts:

  •  May 30 8 p.m.: Formal dinner of the Symposium (price per person: approx. 60€) at the Evharis Estate which will be preceeded by a wine testing event.
