In the context of promoting the work of new researchers in the field of Archaeometry as well as the poster sessions the Organising Committee of the Symposium has decided to award the following prizes:
1) Award for the best oral presentation by a young researcher (student)
2) Award for the best poster
Both awards consist of a diploma and a gift of books of archaeometric interest.
The selection criteria include apart from scientific originality and expertise, completeness and ingenuity in presentation etc. The selection will be carried out by the Organising Committee and the winners will be announced during the closing ceremony.
2) LAYOUT AND SIZE OF POSTERS
Posters should be of size 80x100 cm in portrait layout.
3) ORAL PRESENTATIONS
Speakers are asked to make sure that their oral presentations do not exceed 15 minutes in order to allow 5 minutes for questions and the change in speakers. Please note timing will be strict as the program of the Symposium is very dense. Photographs, diagrams etc should be prepared in a powerpoint presentation. Speakers are asked to bring their powerpoint files well in advance of their session (at the previous break at the latest) in order to ensure that they are uploaded and operate correctly and avoid unnecessary delays during the sessions.
